Just got the evil inside radeon 8500 and it has been a nightmare for me today
first of all the f*cken score i got in 3d mard
it is only 1000 more than my crappy gf2 mx
second the clocks are very weird : 375/264????
WTF???

whenever you install a new hardware device reformat and reinstall that OS, there are probably some unseen remnants of Nvidia drivers lying around that are conflicting....

i have bought this card because i thought it is 275/275
not i am sure memory is at 188 only WTF
It is kinda of 8500LE though it was not written on it
That is why it was too cheap
but what i am mad about is that it had the same cover as the normal 8500

Do the latest driver thing, and I am sure someone will shoot this down but screw the trying to overclock one of these cards. Accepted for what they are they are a good bang for the buck regardless. The ati drivers should determine the best settings for clock speen al on their own, and I beleive it would be max anyway.
