The KT266A does not support 1/5 or higher divisors. It is limited to 1/4. Other people have claimed that the Epox MoBo based on the KT266A has it because it's clock generator supposedly has this but that too does not have it. Proof here;

KR7A-/133/RAID
8KHA+

What a lot of KR7A-/133/RAID buyers need to know about DIMM slots is located HERE. Too many of them to go around.

only reason i ask was...on another forum....some guy took an oscilliscope to his 8kha+ and he figured out that ther had to be a 1/5 divisor because at 166 his PCI was 33 instead of the 42 it was when it was at 165....in Ed or Joe's test...it doesnt show that...so im thinkin that it might be the same case with the KR7A

I know what your talking about in AOA. If you can get the Epox Tech there to answer your question about the Epox directly then you can maybe clear things up a little. Last time I asked him to answer with a simple yes or no I was treated as if I was the bad guy there.

He is not entitled from Epox to give a straight out answer....but on many occasions it has been said that there is a 1/5 divisor...if you look up info on the FSB chip on that board...and look at its spec sheets you would see that it does support 1/5 ....now that doesnt say that the KT266A chipset supports it...but the FSB chip does turn on the 1/5 divisor on speeds higher then 166

I have seen the spec sheet before but the the links I have for proof shows that it does not work for the Epox or any KT266A for that matter. The only reason that I feel he can not give a simple yes or no is because it has not been proven to work. If there is some way of making it work then pease by all means email JoeC how to make it work so we can all share in the knowledge.
