no, its because the ram gnome came and stole it. i would watch out for those buggers. maybe you should set some mouse traps in your case, so they cant take anymore.

but seriously, it is more than likely the checker that is screwing up.

Yeah this happens alot, Its gets bad when the sofware you want to run needs 512mb and it wont let you install it becouse you have 511mb Happens to me all the time with some older games

Is RAM always right on? Cause I see POST show RAM +/- 1-2MB all the time on numerous computers.
