Got two Benq g2400w (tn) myself, so no hate intended. It's just that if I could, I would probably have bought high quality IPS screens.
24" is generally considered as the best screen size for a desktop configuration, and is so considered as a longterm upgrade.
If you already have the perfect size, you only want to upgrade it to something with more performances/quality. So why not directly take a high quality screen?
You are comparing BenQ's to IPS? Try comparing BenQ to bottom of the line monitor's.
After using a Ben-Q "Gamer" monitor, then a Chimei "value 22 inch" monitor, then a high quality LG 22"... all TN's.. I noticed a big difference. You can still get a good quality TN panel without going all the way to IPS, just know what to get.
