6" CCFL's

When they say 6 inches is that just the tube, or is that including the ends? Cause I wanted to put a tube verticle resting on top of the computers back slots to the bottom of the psu... back where the exhaust fan would be.. (see attached picture) and it could etiher fit perfectly (the gap being 6 inches) or its too big. help please. thanks

well i have a 6" blue ccfl that came in the front of my case so i measured it and it is 6" from end to end of the plastic blocks on the end.
although this may be different on different ccfl's
