OK this thing has tied up my Q6600 for 4 days and has another 4 days until it is complete. :bang head

I thought it was a bad WU, but it can't be killed. Delete all the ID/work files and like a system file it just resurrects itself again and picks up where it left off. :mad:

I can barely afford the juice the processor uses doing 7kPPD. There's no way I can justify it for <500PPD if it's one in a whole string of WUs that Stanford usually hands out once you start a series.

When I reviewed the file earlier today I didn't notice the entry you posted below:

Isn't this rig running 8Gb? Makes me wonder if your rig is being correctly ID'd by Stanford?

I'd delete the latest client, logs, data, clean folding folder wipe. Start over, see what happens. But I'm lazy that way.
 
I've set the VM to 2GB so it wouldn't eat up all the resources. 2GB should be plenty for the SMP non -bigady WUs I've been running.

The cores, logs, and work folder, plus current log file, are located here:

/var/lib/fahclient

The config.xml file is located here:

/etc/fahclient

Nope! The work folder, cores logs etc are not there.

OK it was found in a folder called 'cwd'. no thanks to the guide. I found it in the fah log itself. Anyway I updated to the latest open beta 7.4.4 and deleted the work folder. New WU seems to be working correctly.
 
You can also add "max-packet-size=small" to your CPU slot, then it will get smaller WU's to fold.
Those WU's take about 5 hours on my i5 (folding on 2 cores only too!)
