My computer is a MSI K8N Neo2 mobo w/ a 3500+ Winchester proc. and 2Gb. of pc3200 ram. I'm still using a ATI 9600 video card and am thinking of upgrading. Will I notice much difference between my 9600 and the 7600GS AGP? How much difference is there between the 7600GS AGP and the 7800GS AGP? Sorry for all the questions. I searched all over for reviews between these two cards and couldn't find any. Thanks!

a 7600gs is like a overclocked 6600 or a stock 6600gt... i can get my 6600gt to run quite a bit faster than a 7600gs... but a 7800gs no comp... the 7800gs is the best of the agp cards.

Agreed, 7800Gs: Best AGP card out there. I bought GRAW, and had to dumb down all the settings with my 6800GT, and STILL had to lower the resolution: Good indicator the card is out of date. The 7800GS, especially overclocked, handles graw, oblivion and fear very well with eye candy on.

Oh yeah, 7800GS all the way, from what I can tell it is and will be the BEST nVidia card you can or will ever be able to get for AGP. And the ones with the G71 cores overclock like Hell.

but yes 7800gs is still a awesome card to get for agp people :)

I think there is almost no regular AGP system that wouldn't bottleneck the 1950pro, so that means it's pointless to have one, you would only be using 70% of the card.

I think the reviews that were out for the 7800gs mentioned that depending on the game, an X850XT was superior. If you were to buy refurb or used, that would be cheaper than a 7800 too.
you might also consider the agp version of the 7600GT. evga makes one with 256 mb memory and this might be the best match for most agp systems.
There were also rumours of a 7900GS and x1950 that would be on agp, but we will have to see about that.
I have to dissagree that an agp system couldnt fill a newer card though. If somone is running a higher end overclocked 939, its very possible to make good use of a high end agp card.
