Today, PNY announced its XLR8 Gaming DDR5 4800 MHz desktop memory. DDR5 signifies the next major leap in PC memory advancement with its low voltage requirements and increased JEDEC standard speeds. As with all DDR5 memory kits, these include an on-module PMIC (Power Management IC) reducing the load from the motherboards voltage regulators. Availability is expected around the fourth quarter of 2021 but there is still no word on pricing. Here is PNY's official press release.
