hey. i have been thinking about how much i'd like to monitor my case fans, so today i looked at my 12v Antec 80mm fan. i peeled the sticer covering back a little and noticed the ground and +12v lines were soldered onto the PCB in the motor unit. i also noticed another soldered area, and got an idea. if you found a 3-pin mobo fan connector, then you MIGHT be able to solder the ground, +12v, and the other wire to the 3 respective soldered patches, gaining monitor ability. i have not tried this as i am poor, so anyone that has a soldering gun and a 3-pin fan header free, solder the ground, +12v, and monitor wires to their patches. tell me if it works!!!
