My son did his first build!!! And he did not want Microshaft Windblows!

He wanted a retro gaming rig based on Batocera linux. He did his research and I gave him the Linux lecture. He made his decision.

He wanted portable so we went with a micro ATX portable case (yes it has a handle), the best CPU/IGPU we could find, plenty of memory and storage. The 8700G seems to hit the sweet spot.

I will post pics later.
 
No need to post a monitor pic. The unit is totally portable.

We are talking Trash 80... all of it. Everything the OS can offer except newer (okay all our Wii and PS3 games) systems.
