I just installed the DUT3C JIUHB in my 8K3A+. It is already purring along at 11x166 but the CPU temp according to MBM is at 47C at idle but the BIOS says it is around 29C at boot up.

I am running an old BIOS from my XP1600 Pally.

Do I need a BIOS update and what version should I get.

BTW, I just upgraded to the latest version of MBM and the MBM dashboard for the CPU reads 47C, but the System Tray reads -47C. ???

Thanks

3409 will run the highest fsb. I can get into windows at 210 at 2-2-2-5-1T however the pci is not happy. No harddrive corruption and sandra mem of over 3000/2900. Be warned however that the core is read (and inacurrately by 18c +/-) so look for mbm temps of 70 to 75 under full load.

Oh, almost forgot, the -47 is most likely a case of reading the wrong diode.

Thanks Guys.

It seems Silver was right about reading from the wrong diode. Even though I followed the directions from MBM's site. I just tried the different diodes until I got one that was correct.

It is now reading, 24C Case, 32C CPU - which is really good considering it's running at 2 Ghz (water cooled btw).

I'm not what you mean by "your threads", but I just flashed the BIOS to the latest Official BIOS and now running F@H, I am running 26C Case, 49C CPU - 11 x 185 or 2.03 Ghz.
