I recently had to replace my motherboard with a replacement due to a bad BIOS flash. The replacement is the same make and model as the original the only difference is the original had a square heatsink over the KT333 and the replacement has a round one.
I installed the new board and flashed to the same BIOS I was using on the old one(Beta BIOS 2909). I like 2909 over the new BIOS, I run 166FSB locked, Turbo RAM settings, default voltages, CPU temps are normally 2-3+ ambient.
Here is what I noticed on the new board:
1. Temps are slightly higher, CPU 3-4+ ambient
2. Prime95 fails at default volatges where it used to run fine
What's going on? Is this a defective board? Or a different version?
