900mhz???

I am just wondering why my 9500 phenom is showing only 900mhz in cpu-z and 2.2 in system info.

most likely because you have cool and quiet on, run a stressful programe like prime95 and see if it goes to 2.2

I think they hoodwinked you into buying one of those el cheapo 0.9ghz Phenoms... LOL.

Sorry couldn't resist, Cool N Quiet is the answer. All new CPUs from Intel and AMD have power saving options to reduce the clock speed when its not needed, saving power, and the earth at the same time.
