Hello.

I've tried overclocking i5 9600k with Intel's XT Utility. The CPU was set @ 4 900mhz all cores and cache at 4.6mhz. The temps held below 80C for the CPU at these settings during gaming and browsing. My major concern is that when I set up voltage @ 1.37v, the HWMonitor registers Max vCore voltage @ 1.4v + and VID voltage spikes to 1.46v. So the concern is that system overdraws voltage above the set limit in XTU. How normal is that? What could be the reason?

Some say that 1.5v melts CPU. Does the actual voltage degrades the CPU or it is the temperature that is produced by the CPU at that voltage that melts the CPU?

My system is:
Processor - i5 9600k
Mobo - ASUS z390 Prime-A
Memory - GSkill running XMP @3600mhz, 1.35v
Storage - Sata ssd, and HDD
PSU - EVGA 750w B2 bronze
Monitor - 1440p 27"
GPU - 1080ti
Cooler - EVGA 360 clc

The screenshot has max values after 4 hours since overclocking.

Thank you for your advice.
