Hey I just recieved a 9700 pro and installed the stock drivers are there any new or better ones? Also I didn't remove my old geforce drivers will it render my 9700's ability and how do I remove them.

-thanks

Ok in short yes there are better drivers.

But i have to say, That IF you have the 3.7 driver, your golden. If not you can get them at ATI under archived drivers. The 3.10 drivers are the newest if you want them.

As for your old drivers. Yes they probably will interfear with your ATI card. First uninstall your NV drivers in add and remove programs. Then find a program called Driver cleaner. I think you can get it at guru3d or whatever that site is. Run that after you uninstall the NV drivers. Then your going to want to get rid of your ATI driver. Do the same process. Then go into your HD and remove the ATI folder and ANY NV folders and reboot.

Do a defrag, THEN install your ATI driver again. This should do very well and eliminate any problems that might show up.

Good luck.

I run 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9 (haven't tried 3.10 yet) all gave me problems. Yep, good old 3.7's.

3.10 fixed bugs with OpenGL games that were in 3.8 & 3.9, try the 3.10 kazr , they run great :)

Ive had GREAT results from the factory 3.10's , with better results than with the Omega 3.09's

NO problems what so-ever and my card (9800P) overclocks quite abit more too , even with stock cooling ... core :454 , mem :370

My.02 ;) :D
