www.guru3d.com they did a test with the herculeus card vs bba and even tho the herculeus card had all this fancy cooling and stuff, it was just as good/bad as the bba. The test is what made me get a regular bba. I doublt that any of them outperform the others by enough to make a difference

i guess the only question still left unasnwered would be where to get a BBA that will have good ram. I heard newegg carries the 9800 pro's with crappy ram. i want samsung.

AFAIK, *all* 9800Pro cards have 2.8ns Samsung RAM -- they have to, since the default clocks are 380/340, and 3.3ns RAM is only rated to 300, and 3.0ns to 333. It's the 9800 Non-Pro cards that can have 3.0 or 3.3ns Infineon RAM.

I just bought a BBA Radeon 9800 Pro from Best Buy yesterday and it has Samsung Ram. I paid $299 for it. Its doing 430/369 with stock cooling.

ohh ok a bit of confusion :D im getting a BBA 9800 pro for 185 bucks from compusa cuz my friend works there and gets a big discount :D

I'd go with a BBA Radeon 9800 Pro from Newegg.com. What was said earlier, it has to 2.8ns for it to run at 380/340.

Jibby: You are really lucky to get such a great card at a low price like that. I wish I had a friend who would hook me up like that. All I got to say is  at that price.

hes also a really good computer technician. i had to give him my magic stick of crucial for him to hook me up :D that crucial pc 2700 gave him does 217 fsb with default crucial timings (forgot what it was)
