9800Pro arrived Tuesday, anything else?

Hello,

My Sapphire 9800Pro arrives Tuesday.

Is there anything software or hardware I need to get before it comes?

I don't want any suprises thanks!

Well you will most likely want to just flat out reinstall windows so there is no chance of past drivers on there. and you would like to use the latest catlyst drivers

If you dont wnat to reinstall windows just make sure any traces of past drivers are gone becouse there could be some conflicts

I'm currently using nvidia drivers.
How do I wipe those, or do I need to?

You need to uninstall your current nvidia drivers and the run driver cleaner to pick up what it left behind. Click here to download it
It does have a readme with it. So read it to figure out how to use the program properly.

I know how to reinstall windows, it's just then I've got to reinstall my games again and software which takes a while.

I only installed a fresh copy of XP pro on my machine about 3 weeks ago.

Quattro: Just download a driver remover from a site like www.guru3d.com ... install it, and follow the instructions.. there is no need to re-install Windows

I don't think Vinny77 meant to shout... Look at the lower case letters in front indicating the use of the "shift" key.

How well do those driver removers work? Is it just as good as reinstalling windows?
