Okay I just purchased a brand new 9800pro:D My 3dmark03 score is 5535 at stock. I want a oc to get me at least 6000:rolleyes:
But I wanted to know when you guys overclock your videocards do you leave them overclocked all the time, or just for when you need that extra boost.
Can you give me some example of a high, mid, and low oc on the ram and core. And by the way stock cooling only;)

well.....crank it up till it has a seziure(im using stock too). Run games / 3Dmark, at higest confortable setting. Run for a few hours. No artrifracts?, then take it higher. Artifracts?, Then back it off until everything looks good. (check sig) you should get quite a bit of an OC on ur ram. Core clock should top out around +-430mgz, mem around +-680mgz

I used Rage3D to overclock, recommend it.

What I did was run the nature scene of 3DMark03 to test for small artifacts. I found it was best to quickly determine maximum overclock levels (but if heats an issue you should test these levels afterwards).
