P4 system, MSI Neo 865P motherboard with Adata PC 4000 RAM.
For some reason, no matter what CAS latency I put in the bios, it ALWAYS ends up at CL3. The other timings can change with no problem, but CAS always defaults to 3. I'm pretty sure the guy I bought it from had it down CL2.5
I tried lowering the FSB to 200, but the same thing happens. Sandra and cpu-z always report the CAS latency as 3, although the other memory timings do show in windows as whatever I put them in the bios.
Has anybody else had similar problems? Before I start pulling things apart trying to figure out if it's the RAM or the Motherboard OR the BIOS, I'm hoping for a little wisdom from anybody who's experienced something like this.
Thanks,
Kos
