Hello, I have a question I have e-mail someone on the overclockers classified , he has an AMD Althon Thuderbird that is a 700 mhz slot A, I have a Soyo K7VIA board also Slot A that I want run this chip in . He already has a goldfinger device on it , he says that if I don't flash the BIOS on my Soyo board , that I will not be able run it stably passed 800 mhz because something about running the chip at 100 mhz. The chip I am running right is a 650 Athlon , now I thought this chip was running at 100 mhz . I could use a little help because I am new at this , what am I missing ???? when I ID the chip I am using now with wcpuid it states that the system clock is 100 mhz and the system bus is 200 mhz and the chip[ is an AMD Althon model 2 . So if am one can tell me what the flash will do for me it would be great . Hate to flash BIOS for no reason Thanks Dequilo
