I was thinking of water cooling my CPU's. One of my ideas instead of using a peltier was to have a block that covers the core and water would come in direct contact with the core. I was wondering if this would presend any problems; and would this make a significantly better heat exchange. Thanks.

Some have done this. Personally I think it's a messy solution. You'd have to really seal up the contact between the block and the CPU. Also, I don't think it would provide that much better heat transfer compared to a copper water block.

Just the other day I was just looking at an article someone wrote about this, but I've blanked on where I saw it. The conclusion was that it worked pretty well, but there was no direct comparison to a standard water block.
