Hello guys and gals, I need some help.

My rig is in the sig, and after some research I have found that indeed my CPU will handle a 1050TI or RX 560 or maybe even higher.

So, I only play at 1080 res, and I have narrowed it down to 1050TI vs the RX 560, or even 1060 or RX 570, if the prices relax a bit (darn bitcoin).

First, my 8150 OCed will not lag too much behind right? I need 50fps+ on new games at 1080 res, and I understand that some CPU heavy games may have trouble, but I don't think I play those anyway.

I just want to make sure that an upgrade to any of the above cards is even worth it, or is my current VC setup as much as my CPU can handle?

On top of that, I use MadVR for movies and shows, and my video card hits high 90s and gets loud, so that is a big reason for the upgrade too.

So, as to the title of this post, the question is about CPU vs VC bottleneck, and advice about the four cards I mentioned (the RX 560 is the only one I can actually find at the moment for a decent price, but if it will not be that much of an upgrade to my current setup I'll go with one of the others)

Thanks

I played a lot of BF4 on my Fx 8350 and had no troubles playing 1080p with any of my upper end cards. I'm currently using my GTX 980 with it, I don't really watch my FPS but I'm pretty sure it's consistently above 60 FPS. I also barely hear the fans ramping up while playing. I have used my GTX 580 lightning while gaming and it is definitely louder then the 980. If you can't find a Gpu in your price range maybe look for a 980 or 980ti used. I cannot comment on the card you listed, because I do not own one.

Ok thanks.. Yeah, the 1050TI is my first choice, but all these cards are double or triple price right now, the only one I can find in the $150 (Canadian) range is the RX 560 and apparently it is quite slower than the 1050TI, but maybe enough for me?

Instead of going with a lower end card and paying a premium for it, my money would be on a GTX 970 used. It will run circles around the 1050 ti or Rx 560.

This^. Or if you get the (admittedly rare, atm) opportunity to pick up a RX 470 AIB card at a reasonable price. The 470 can be OC'd to within a whisker or two of the 480 and was the deal of the century not long ago.
