a screen saver

Has anyone come across the source code for a Windows Screen saver?

I am assuming they are made with C++ or C, but really this assumption is blind since I have nothing to back it with,

I ask because I wish to examine the source code and figure out how to make my own screen saver then integrate it with a desktop and network application.

the network app would be PHP, the desktop is simply "use current home page" which is the php network application.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Screen savers can actually be made in almost any compilable language. A quick google search for "screensaver source code" should net you a couple of million results. Most being in c++ or VB.

Actually, on the CD for VB6 hidden somewhere was an example source of making a screen saver using that.
