since I finally have all the parts for my new box in, I went to put it together..but....

Since the case came with 6 plastic clips and 3 of the brass spacers that take a screw..and the motherboard has 9 holes...a question came up:
"can any of the mounting holes be used with the brass screws? ie: do certain holes need grounding?
I don't want to fry the board by grounding a wrong hole...

Being the overly paranoid person that I am..I'd like more plastic things..but can't find 'em..if anyone knows a place that sells different kinds of mounting clips, please let me know.

Thanks.

Did you take a look inside your case ?, cuz most cases have only 4 holes where you can use the brass spacers (close to the back of your case).
Bout the wrong holes you could use, there are none.(at least not that I know of, or it has to be an old, old, old MOBO).

the brass spacers fit everywhere, although they look too small to hold the mobo...perhaps I can scrounge up some more of those little red insulator washers...

The mobo is new, so it shouldn't have any probs with the brass things shorting anything...I'm just paranoid...I guess

Thanks.

The extra holes are for the different footprint motherboards. Use the ones that match your mb for best support. I personally used every one that was available.
