On the A7V do you guys recommend just removing the green hs from the chipset, applying thermal paste and then putting the hs back on, or mounting a hs/fan in place of the stock hs? Also if the hs/fan route is better will thermal tape suffice or should I use something else?

thanks in advance

Take the greene off lap it grease it and add a small fan to it and you will be just fine. I don't even have a fan on the chipset of my A7V but I do have a 120mm fan in the left side that blows air over the mobo, chipset, ram, and video card keeping everything nice and cool.

I have a couple of extra borb video coolers (Thermaltake), but I've not found these to fit well at all without quite a bit of elbow grease...that's why they're extra ;)
