hello, i took the cpu out, when i puted it in, my mobo didnt boot!
i tryd to replace the memory, video card, still no boot, i checkt my cpu at freinds, and the cpu is fine,

i cant understand whats its problem, i tryd to remove the battery for 2 days, and then shorted the pins, still, no boot :(
please help! anything! :(

Try going into 'jumper enabled' mode set all the dip switches to your processor defaults and move the JEN jumper to pin 1-2 (2-3 is default). If it then boots you should be able to revert back to 'jumperless' by switching back to JEN at 2-3. (With power off and system unplugged of course.)

Does it get anywhere when it tries to boot ie does your video card bios show up, or the POST stuff? Some BIOS versions also dont like not having a fan plugged into the cpu fan header but you can disable the detection, you might need to look at that...

check the power supply to the mb ,I have knocked them lose before fooling with the cpu and it may be your problem , also this may sound silly but check the power supply and make sure the switch is on ,just a thought

i had the same problem on my a7v133a. i agree try setting the multipilere/fsb manually to ur cpus default setting

i hade many of this "put jen on 2-3 and 1-2 and everything will work"
this is deeper problem, the motherboard wont post, i tryd everything i can think of, this is a new motherboard, and the shop dont want to fix the board because they say it dosnt have warranty because there is 2 socket lugs broken

short the 2 solder points on the MBO next to the battery to clear the CMOS.Look in your board manual to where exactly the solder point are

Ive had my 7ix gigabyte SLOT A T-bird for 16 months with no problem

socket a with via133 and 266 mobos have the most problems . you shouold of gone with 760mp
