A7V333-r PC2700 vs PC3200

hi guys

just a quick question people?

will changing from PC2700 to PC3200 ram make things faster or do i need a mobo that supports the faster setting? and i'm at stock on settings except for 12.5x144 xp2000 at 1800 o/c...

I've wondered the same, I seen info that says anything above 2700 may not work with the A7V333,(Xtreme DDR web site) and others that say for ovrclocking issues it will help having 3000, 3200, Muskin web pages, Both have quite a lot of good info on it although I'm Samsung owner. I what Ive read, this mobo should work with 3200, let us know how it goes!

PC3200 works fine in the A7V333 for me.
My Memory is clocking to 350mhz with ease. Its rated to run at 400mhz.

The issue is that I cannot see much of a performance difference between PC2700 and PC3200 in benchmarks.

I've been using my PC3000 Mushkin since I got this mobo and everything's running fine. So I figure pc3200 or higher should also be ok.

I would say that a good PC2700 would be suffice for this board. I have taken my pc2700 samsung tcb3 chip upto 223MHz on this board which is like >pc3500

pc3200c2 or 3500c2 would work fine.im going at least pc3000c2 myself as now i top out at 204fsb with my 2100c2.5.

most people who own this mobo want 400mhz cas2 memery settings.by my switching to c2 ram i only expect to pick up mabey 150 bandwith marks in sandra.but i need more ram 128mb just top get started.

Those people miss understant how the different from PC2700 to PC3200 ram. Asus a7v333 have no problem with pc3200 ram. People get pc3200 cuz they can have space to push their FSB. Alot problem people can't reach the max their o/c, cuz of their limit men. With pc3200 on, you may up to 200 fsb while your multiplier as lowest as possible.
