I have read somewhere that the A7v8x allows you to change the multiplier on a amd chip that has not been unlocked. Is this true or are they all just lying to me for some odd reason?

I am going for probably not true but I am sure that any owner of this board will be able to clarify this for me.

Thanks for taking your time to read this :)

true in that if you use a t-bred chip which is a XP2200 and above. Other wise you have to unlock the processor by way of bridge work. Im using the XP2200 so all multipliers came unlocked from 5.5-16 :D

now the only problem is that there is a tbred "a" and a "b" i belive this is what i read in the maximum pc mag. what proc do i buy that is guaranteed a "b" with the added layer on the proc??
