Abit/AMD or ASUS/Intel in Vapochill?

Well, here's the deal:

I'm running a AMD XP Barton 2500+ @ 2500MHz on my Abit NF7-S v2.0 inside my Vapochill and now I got my hands on a 2.8GHz Prescott and a ASUS P4S800D. My question is, will I see any big difference if I put those ASUS/Intel-pieces inside my Vapo compared with the Abit/AMD-pieces? (difference in performance/benching)

The RAM that I'm using is A-data PC4000 (500MHz).

1. depends on how high you are going to clock your prescott
2. the Barton will be better in gaming at the same speeds, and will still be if the prescott is say 200mhz faster (but anytihng over that it will be quite equal)
3. the prescott will be better in benchmarks
4. why not have both, but one on air cooling

thx 4 the reply!

yes I'm going to use both, but I'm not sure if it is worth all the work to swap all the stuff from Abit/AMD to ASUS/Intel. The vapo-stuff aint so easy to mount and all the greasy stuff etc etc.

So that's why I'm asking really, what setup should run inside the Vapo (and waterchilled on NB and VGA) and what should run on air in another case? Main use for the Vapo-puter is gaming and DVD-burning/DVD-ripping.

well if you could get some decent air cooling so you can keep the barton at 2500mhz with under 50 degrees load then put air cooling on barton and vapochill on precott (coz prescotts are hot anyways) and oc the crap out the prescott, u wanna get a northwood instead of a prescott because they are ALOT better at the same overclocked speeds (i think i heard it somewhere)

good luck

thx, I got the prescott and the MoBo (plus a GF FX 5600Ultra) really cheap (used stuff) thats why I got the prescott.

well well, I think I'm gonna run the AMD inside the Vapo for a little longer while, it depends on how much spare time I have this summer.

btw, is the SATA/RAID-controller good on the ASUS mobo? Because the Abit NF7-S SATA/RAID-controller really s*ck bigtime... If it is better then the choice is quite easy.
