Abit bd-7 post hang at A7

New MB and new 1.6a Powers up and hangs with long beeps at A7 on the led display. I'm stuck. Any help is much appreciated.

check your memory, pull it out and re-seat it, it might not be that, but it wont hurt. i have never seen one hang at A7, i was having a problem at 26. try clearing the cmos after re-seating the memory, and then power up. also, did you do the v-pin mod? if so, and you dont have the lasso on correctly, it will cause the computer not to start.

A7 is indeed a memory issue.

New stuff haven't done any mods yet.....reseated the memory and got same result.....you think it's time for RMA?

A7 is a memory issue...in this case I found that the DIMM1 socket was bad. I have requested RMA for this board and hope that the new one will be be error free.
