I have a BE6II I think its one of the first versions,I have the lattest BIOS,Now Im looking for a Video card,,I dont see anything on this board concerning 2X or 4X AGP,,Is this thing only running 1X??

in the later bios versions...the option of the AGP Transfer mode was added in the SoftMenu III menu

Fast is for AGP2X
Normal is for AGP1X
Default is the max supported by your card

so a GeForce has a max of AGP4X but since the BX is limited to AGP2X, you only get AGP2X. =)

Ahhhhhhh Ok Thanks!! Is there a Big differance between 2XAnd 4X??Is it wirth getting a new MOBO??I Like my Abit,Do they make something like the BE6II that supports 4X??
I still dont have a AGP card,And im deciding between the Radon 64DDr,and a Nvita based 64DDR

The Abit SH6 is slot one, but it does not have raid...but the 815e chipset has naitive suport for ata100, 133mhz bus,agp4x, and 1/2 agp devider..and like the BE6II, it goes up to 250mhz fsb, in 1mhz increments, so you have room for expantion...as far as I know, the SH6 is the only slot1 815e board on the market, and I was one of the first to get my greedy hands on one. I love my old BE6, but the SH6 is a lot faster..my agp card couldn't handle the bus speeds to reach 900+mhz.
I really like this board

Cool Thanks for the info!
Just got a ATI Radon 64DDR VIVO retail off ebay for $190!!! This card should work with my BE6II right??
Im looking for the new Abit board now,But might be a couple weeks till I get it,So in the mean time ill be using my be6II for that card

Off to pricewatch.com I go*LOL*

Yes, the Radeon will work fine on your BE6-2. I really don't think that agp x2 is a lot faster than agp x4, and it certainly isn't twice as fast in reality. I wouldn't go get a new motherboard just because of agp x4 thats for sure...

But if I was to buy one, I would get one that supports agp x4 (like the i815 does - and some VIA chipsets as well), but having ata100 and maybe raid would be nice (RAID is only good if you have 2+ harddrives) as well.
