Can I put a pentium III 800 eb with 133 frontside bus in this motherboard. I know my fsb is adjustable, but is it a ram question or would it work?

thanks
Rod

The Abit website doesn't show the BH6 as supporting that cpu. Their secondary page wasn't working to check if there was a bios upgrade to include that processor. You might want to try there later.

I believe that the SS bios allows up to a 800 and multipliers to 10x. But I had problems with that bios. Every time I tried to push my cpu faster it would hang, then I would hold down the insert key to set it to defaults on rebooting. It would set the display to PCI instead of AGP!!??!! So I had to dig up that old PCI video card to set it back to AGP in the BIOS... Went back to the old bios again.

I installed the intel 800eb Mhz in my abit be6- and works perfectly with 100Mhz PC SDRAM.

RAMPAGE

If you have the older BH6 1.0x running 133 FSB puts your PCI at a little over 44MHz. That's a lliiittle high don't ya think? Just checked Abit. The rev 1.1 handles up to the 850e, and the rev 1.0x handles up to 700. Neither board supports the PIII EBs. However if ya got the rev 1.1 you might get lucky, ya got the 1/3 divisor on that.
