I own a BP6 motherboard that right now has 2 C366 PPGA processors. I have overclocked this board to [email protected] volts.

I am interested in putting in some faster chips but cannot figure out what they will be.

This board will not support the FC-PGA processor without some hardware modifications and I am planning on doing them.

My question is what chips should I use. I have heard many ppl's success stories with the PIII 800 mhz with the 100 MHZ FSB. I wouldn't mind putting in a couple Celeron 2 processors either as long as they still work in SMP.

If you would be so kind as to post your success stories on overclocking the FC-PGA processors and what motherboard you are using. If you are using the BP6 please give details on how you made it happen.

Thank you.

Best bet is to try BP6.com It's an etire website devoted to BP6 Mod's and hacks and etc. I have a BP6 myself running two Celly 366's as well but I am getting 551 out of each of them =) Rumor had it Celly II's can't run SMP, I may be wrong but it's worth looking into, or if you want to go the FC-PGA route perhaps sell your BP6 and Processor's and pick up a VP6 Those have built in raid support and some other cool features as well as the ability to run anything you could ever want in them.

Just a couple thought's for you, I hope this helps.

I have posted a few times on the BP6 site but noone responds to it.

I don't have the money to get the new VP6 or I would. That is one of the best boards I have seen in a while.

I am not committed to the FC-PGA. I would settle for a 533 PPGA or something like that. I would just like to get some feedback on what the best chip is.

I'm running a bp6 but not in dual mode. I used the powerleap neo and put in a cell 600. It's @ 900 and some change. two buddys with older abit boards are doing the same. We are all air cooled.

It's pretty easy to get one fc-pga chip going with the use of the powerleap adapter, overclocking can be hit and miss and running 2, especially when trying to overclock at the same time is also hit and miss and will almost definataly need modifications doing to the voltage regulators as the bp6 was not a very expensive board and this is one area skimped on, if you go to www.bp6.com there is stuff there on using fc-pga chips on it

and by the way I think it is against the boards rules to post on every board, you should only post on one suitable board

This is in response to the post telling me to post on the Intel Motherboard message board.

This is the Intel Motherboard message board.

And also I only posted on 2 message boards. Intel Processor and Intel Motherboard as they are both valid to my question.

Thank you all who answered the question and didn't *****.
