Is this motherboard any good? it's the cheapest one i can find for a socket 423 P4.

Well, it uses standard SD-RAM memory, which is the slowest (and definitely the cheapest) solution for your bandwith-hungry P4.
If you have tight budget it's OK, otherwise stay away from the 'normal' SD-RAM based P4 motherboards...

Absolutely!

The RDRAM based TH7 is a hell lot faster than the BW7, but It's more expensive overall...
