I am in dire need of help....I have tried taping the last 2 pins on the slot...(ie. not the agp pro tab)...with no luck...

Actually sounds like a power prob. The GTS can suck a bit'o juice and our BX6r2 gives us 3.3v and rarely more (often slightly less 3.28 )

I run the Asus GeForce 2 gts on a bx6 R2 with no problems, for what that is worth.

I assume you've already used the motherboard with another AGP video card, so that would eliminate the motherboard probably... I had some serious issues installing my first geforce AGP card, I think I finally got it to work as a PCI -- I disabled the AGP in the bios, had windows enable it (I THINK, to be honest I didn't play to figure out why it worked once it did). I have since sold the card, otherwise I might play a bit for you.
