I'm planning on going for one of AMD's new T-breds (probably 1900+).

This mobo says it supports current XP's and new procs (slot A) so just to make sure, a T-bred will run on this mobo right?

And is $116 a good price for just this board? If not, could someone give a link with a good price?

Yes, the processor will work on that mobo. I do however, just in my experience, recommend either having an OS or a processor made before the motherboard comes out. Same goes with Graphics cards just because I've learned that Microsoft doesn't like to think about compatibility and stability too much, like with XP. But companies like NVIDIA and Abit do, hence ti200, and the KR7a.

The KR7a natively supports XP's, not T-Breds. However it will function with a TBred a little above spec at least. Just don't go hog wild on overclocking without something that has been known for it. Like AMD761 with overclocking or AGP, booooomer. but KT266a hasn't failed anyone yet, and either has ABIT so give it a go and enjoy those huge benchmarks!

So, maybe better to wait for a new T-bred specific mobo then? (keeping in mind price is still the name of the game, looking to put the whole thing together for around $800)

What about the price on this one though? Is that a pretty good price, or are there better deals out there?

I would say it's a good price. Did you check at newegg. They might have it cheaper there. IMO Abit is one of the most reliable boards you can get. If you can't wait then it's a good choice.
