Abit Kt7-RAID

I just recently built a computer with
1 ghz AMD t-bird
Abit kt7-RAID motherboard
voodo 3 video card
no name network card
sound blaster 16 pci
Win ME

My problem is with the Raid drivers in windows, the plug and play always detects it but I can't install the drivers, 1 of 2 things happens, When i install the drivers it never installs the device and will come up in plug and play next reboot, or 2 it will freeze my computer during boot-up and will come up in safe mode next boot. I've downloaded the lastest drivers off abits site and still doesn't work. I can't get a hold of Abit, i've heard that they didn't have any human tech support on the phone, but anyway thats my sad story if anyone has a clue please tell me, everything helps, for some reason i think its with windows me, thanks again

I had the same prob as you have , I had to solve it with blocking an IRQ in windows, because my network card and the RAID ATA drivers needed the same IRQ so I had to block IRQ number 11.
Maybe you can try that..

PCI5 and the Highpoint controller are supposed to shared IRQs so if you have something in PCI5 move it to another if possible.
