I am thinking of trying out this board because of the great success everyone has had with it and I was wondering..the board comes with two ide controllers counting the raid, can I turn off the raid and be able to run 8 devices off of it? If anyone knows please throw me a line. Thx.

Works just fine. I had to install the RAID drivers and set a drive as bootable in the RAID setup. Just do not set up a RAID.
