Hey I have this older HD I want to hook up to my mobo and all my regular IDE's are full.....

So I set the jumper on the HD (WD 835 MB Caviar, yeah I know it's old) to master and hooked it up to IDE3...

My HPT370 drivers are installed, is there anything special I need to do now to get the drive recognized or will those extra 2 ATA100 RAID IDE ports not work as just regular old ide controllers?

By the way, my ATA100RAID thingys are apparently classified as SCSI devices. is that normal?

SCSI thing is normal, not sure about the drive, I know I hooked two UDMA66 drives up to it and they work fine (not RAIDed or anything though since I didn't feel like losing all my data)
