Abit KT7E Bios

Has anyone else here tried to flash their bios on the KT7E to the newer one (dated 5/11/01) with a Soundblaster Live!? I flashed, and after that, couldn't get my computer to run worth crap. Changed the three new bios settings to many different things, and still couldn't get everything running correctly. Reflashed with the old bios and everything runs great again. Oh yes, I had already gone through all the BIOS settings that were reset once flashed, and all were correct. Any other problems?

Final note: This danged heat!!!!!! It's like 95 degrees F here in Utah. My computer gets too hot to overclock over 1ghz now. I have my case open, and am soon to get one of those huge house fans blowing directly onto the motherboard. MUAHAHAHAHAHA

This won't help but I figure I will reply.

I have the KT7E and havs NO problems with it, I also have the SB Live Value card and have no problems at all.

I have not flashed it either, if it aint broke don't try and fix it.

I test a lot of BIOSes - it seems strange that ABit would release a BIOS inferior to a predecessor. I f I were you I would take it up with them and lay it on thick. State that you have lost working time or something and demand a response.
