i want to buy a AMD Duran 1.2 for my kt7e , do it works with 1.2?

Looking at the abit bios site ABIT it does not show a bios upgrade for it with the Morgan core.

With my MSI mobo when I went from the T-bird to the XP I had to flash the bios for it to be compatable with the XP cpu.

I don't believe you should have any trouble getting the 1.2 Duron to run on the KT7E Mobo...mine has the older ZT Bios and there is definately a listing for the 1.2 processor...no differentiation between the Athlon and Duron...I think where you may run into a problem is with CPU's that run at 266 FSB...the mobo may run it just fine, and it may not...it is not officially rated to run at 266, but many people report that they will without a problem...Hope this is of help to you...
