Trying to set my cpu (P3 900) I want to dissable the dipswitches so I can manually set my FSB for overclocking but if I set the dipswitches to off then the system won't boot if I set the switches to default then I can't manually alter the cpu settings cause some are greyed out.

any one know what I'm doing wrong?? :(:(

I have a SAR6 motherboard and I can assure you that all overclocking is done in the BIOS. Please carefully put all the dip switches back to their default settings, this will just get you into trouble. The processor and FSB settings in the BIOS are greyed out because you have to change one of settings from "default" to "user define" first. That should allow you to change your FSB settings. Same with the CPU core voltage which is located farther down the page.

fsb dip switch default settings are as follows 1-2 on, 3-4 off, 5 on, 6-8 off

i just got this board also, and from what i understand, i think for softfsb to work, it should be 1-2 off, 3 on, 4-5 off, 6-8 off

Thanks for the replies, however I played around with the dip switches and I think the manual is incorrect to be able to set up my cpu (for overclocking)
here are the dipswitch settings that I had to use

1 off
2 on
3 off
4 off
5 on
6 off
7 off
8 off

So if anyone has problems try these settings and then set the bios to user defined,my P3 900 @1035 the mo :):)
