i am having problems with my se6 mobo.
yesterday i took delivery of a 256mb cl2 crucial dimm. when installed i changed my cas rating in my bios to cas2 and whne the board re-booted i got the suggested sdram cas 3 setting message. The system will boot sometimes at cas 2 and always at cas 3. sissoft snadra memory test 191/192 with cas 3 setting and will only allow me to overclock my cpu to 140mhz fsb.
With my other dimm cube 128mb cl3 i have been running at 153fsb for over 4 months no problems sissoft 201/204.

Hers the wierd part in my other system the crucial will run at cas 2 and gives me 394/398 in sisosoft with the same cpu but not clocked.

any ideas is there a problem with the intel 815 chipset for memory bandwidth as i cant seee the dimm being the culprit as it works ok in my other system

cheers daver

When I set up my SE6 I saw the same message. I manually set it and it stayed and I have had NO Problems.

You have one this I cannot get. My FSB setting is greyed out and I cannot find any way of getting to it. I am running an 800EB and cannot overclock it nor can I change the FSB. Do you know why mine is greyed out???

try updating the bios, i just changed to the latest rev, but you need to set the softbios to manual and then change the fsb. if you are using pc133 then the memory setting must be 4 ie 4.4.1 if you are using pc100 then 4.3.1
