Abit SlotKet III or Iwil Slocket??

I just ordered a new Abit Slotket III and an Iwill Slocket and was wondering what kind of input you guys got on both of them. I'm using an Abit Slotket right now but I wanted to see if the newer version would work better or worse for me. I'll see this Friday when I get them in.

Abit SlotKet III

The Revised Slocket by ABIT *The slocket !!!* Is great! you will llove it. I am running that right now I wouldn't trade it for anything.

They are both good.. however, it seems the IWill is more stable for higher FSB's around 125MHz and above. The Abit is easier to get big heatsinks on though as the CPU retention arm is plastic and hence flat unlike the Iwill's with it's metal arm and raised edge which can interfere with the heatsink sitting flat against the CPU core.

I got one of that Iwill slockets on my celly II.
It got keen jumpers which are easy to understand and my cooler (ALPHA PEP) is fitting great on it. Running with "only" FSB100 without ever having any problems. Had to decide between Abit and IWill some time ago and finally I got so much good feedback in that IWill Slocket that I imported it from the USA cause I was too dumb to find it in Europe... gosh... this where those days...

Well I can't say anything for the SlotKet III , I can say that the Slotket II was a POS.. My celeron wouldn't achieve nearly the stablity I was able to attain with the I-Will slotkey I use... I tried 4 seperate ABIT slotket's and the results were the same...

I've had similar bad experiences with ABIT's motherboards as well...and all of them were a PAIN in A** to get ABIT to honor their warranty on....(4 bad fan headers...and on that burned up a fan)...while others have used ABIT's stuff ...I think their Quality has went down as their popularity has risen...
that is just my own opinion however...

So my vote is again for the IWILL...hands down

I agree dood ,,I think both asus and abit have gone way down hill in the last 18 months or so ,,too bad I used to be a die hard asus fan ,,oh well ,,,live and learn
