i currently have a pIII 700 on a abit be6ii board. i am able to overclock to 933. i would like to make an upgrade to the abit st6-raid board for the ata 100 capability.

my question is: how good of an overclocker is the st6, and what are my pci/agp divider options as well as voltage control in the bios? will the st6 have 2/3 divider as well as 1/2? (i actually would prefer the 2/3 divider - i get better frame rates with the higher bus speed).

thanks,

mark

The voltage will go 1.85 max.
The agp and pci dividers are set automatically.
1/2 agp at 133.
The benifits would be agp 4x support and support for tualtin cpu's and raid option.

Hey Placid,
Is that 1.85v max with your processor or with any processor. Don't most boards allow a certain % over default depending on which CPU is present? I wouldn't mind having one of those boards to replace my aging (but still trusty) old BH6 but I need 1.9v to run my Celly 600 at a gig. I'm not too keen on vid pinning, probably because I've gotten away with not having to do it yet.

Its the max for any cpu. Most tualatin boards use a 8.5vrm.
I have a vh6t.
I even tried vidpinning the cpu to set it for 2.0v but still got 1.85.
You might want to check on it before you buy but since both boards are abit they probably are use the same vrm.
Update.
I looked at the manual on the abit site for the st6r and it says it meets the vrm 8.5 specification.
