Hmm, if it would have been available in black I think would have given it a second thought. Those intake fan holes look extremely cool.

.....wow, i pity the poor souls that r going to buy that thing.
my poor poor friend..., what a waste of his money that was...
(oh yeah btw he sprayed it with some Axe to get rid of the smell but it didn't work, but since his old case is broken he has no choice but to use this one.)

I was case shopping lastnight and saw that ugly case. I bought the Sky Hawk MSR4611

Good deal IMO, Will be my 3rd beer can case, No more steel

psy

Mine is far from filmsy. The side panels are enough to saw your hands off. Personally, I wish it was a little filmsier, and weighed less.

Also, the intake(s) are in horrible positions. Those holes are a great way for air to get in, but the intake it self faces from side to side instead of front to back.

The only real redeeming factor for cooling in this case is the CPU HSF duct. It works very well. I actually have improved CPU temperatures going from a Super Lanboy w/ all grills removed, 2 huge 120mm fans and 1 80mm side exhaust to this with only the stock silly 80mm intake and 120mm exhaust.

The bays do smell though. It's kind of sickly. But I don't really think you'd be close enough to notice very often.

I see a slot for a 120mm fan. What about intake fans?
It must get pretty hot in there?! I guess we can't detach the MoBo tray as well.

Looks like a train engine, but I'm not sure about the actual performance. Anybody own this? Could you please postpics of your cooling apparatus and temps?

I gotta say that is by far the ugilest case in the history of mankind. And $139 for that?!? Sure doesn't float my boat... And on the pics where the front door is open, it just looks scary... like the damned case is going to attack you or something. lol

I wouldn't buy it Not just because it is ugly or because it is expensive, but because it is not functional. I could see a use for this case if you were going to incorporate this into some extreme exterior mod. Where you were to cover up the outside and incorporate it into some other scheme. Like say an Alien Mod. Or Perhaps some type of Star Wars Ship Mod. But to leave as just a stand alone. Umm no thanks.

   i am so sorry for whoever bought this case. it really should get some kind of ugly award.... it just looks horrible. i'd rather spend $20 on a cheap beige case...

I feel sorry for ASUS :) what were they thinking?
Maybe time to fire the guy who designed it and replace him with someone who's not high on the job :)

So a company goes out of their way to make an original case and all they get is flak? I see how it is. But I bet if some modder made that case from scratch, and put some kickass hardware in it everybody in this thread would be saying exactly the opposite.

Regardless it's obviously heavily inspired (aka a copy of) the Alienware "overly expensive flesh rending machine" or whatever they call it.
