Does anyone know if there are any reviews comparring an Add-in SATA card vs onboard SATA? Is there going to be any speed differences?

Thanks

AFAIK some onboard devices, rather than using their own processing power and memory (like on an addon card) will use the host CPU and RAM. You may find that a seperate card performs slightly better, but I would imagine the difference would be negligible.

I am wondering if they are both limited to the PCI bus speeds?

Yes, they will still operate via the PCI bus as far as I am aware.
