So I Recently ordered my First Laptop ever, a Lenovo Thinkpad E420s. My Plan is to dump the HDD and put in my G.Skill Sniper 120GB SSD.

Question is, is the process the same as a desktop? Like installing the SSD, go to BIOS/CMOS Change to AHCI, Save, Install OS?

Or is it different?

Also Would adding a mSATA SSD Chip later on be beneficial? Would it just show as a 2nd drive in the OS?

Thanks in advance!

Brain Fart moment while posting this... This should be in the Storage Section.

If needed Please move Mods :D

Six and half-a-dozen I think. If you'd prefer it in storage (it's a tad busier) I'm happy to move it for you.

NVM Standard SSD does not fit will need 7mm or smaller... And do not have the cash for that currently.
