Advise on a leufken peltier kit

i just bought a Leufken peltier kit form 2cooltech its the 52 watt version. I have never used a peltier and am looking for any advise i can get be it info or links to good articles about how to install it. I choose this one b/c its designed to work with my globalwin fop38.
Any info you could supply would be greatly appereciated THanks

soundblaster live
256mb of kingmax pc-150
mitsumi 52x cd rom
mitsumi floppy
kingston 10/100 network card

i ordered the peltier and a fop-38 to go with it
 
Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings... But

The 1 GHz T-Bird is going to laugh at a 52 watt peltier.

Even if you could somehow keep the hotside of the pelt at ambient temperature (impossible with standard heatsink) the heat the t-bird is throwing off would quickly overwhelm the TEC's heat pumping ability.

Sadly, I think what you'll end up with is a very inefficient heatsink. :-(

During my travails with water-cooled rigs, pelts, and T-birds I found that you're actually better off with just a good old Alpha PEP66, arctic silver and nothing else.
 
Forget lower than 85W for amd cpu's .
I bought an alpha+85W with 38cfm delta fan, and I'm afraid it could not pass the room temp (+-26C) with my 750@1000 Duron... :(
 
Thanks for all the advise i have decided to send it back and just stick to the fop-38 hsf and see what i can get out of that.
