Hi Guys,

I need a good chair for work. Between work, school, and personal use I'm on my *** 80 hours a week easy. I need a decent chair (the one the office provided is crap).

I'm trying to avoid $500+ Aerons, Mirras, Humanscales, Leap, etc... What are some good alternatives in the $200-300 range? Any really good $100 ones :) I'm mainly concerned with ergonomics over comfort, i.e. I'd rather have a great office chair than some puffed up recliner type 'office-style' chair from Office Max (which will just bust one's back and posture in the long run).

Thanks!

That helps him out a lot haha. (jk no you are just agreeing). You could buy a crappy hard chair and buy like a 70 doller add on messager from like sears. They are probaly pretty comfy.

Well, I work full time, go to school full time, and then my hobbies tend to be computer related too. With so much time spent in chairs, esp. at work, I find myself more and more stressed out every day. I'm hoping a sweet chair will solve the problem. Plus while they're expensive, they'll last like 10 years if one takes care of them.

FYI - for those in the bay area I got a hookup for used Leap chairs for $300-400 (retail at $765-1250 depending on config). PM me if you want to know.

Damn $150 is really nice for a Leap! I actually am getting two, one for my girl and one for me. At home I already have a nice Teknion Harmony chair. It's not on the level of Leap/Aeron but it's pretty nice. I'm thinking of leaving the Leap at work since I'm there the most and keeping the Teknion at home. My current office chair is horrible, probably some $50 bulk order CostCo stuff.

Oops did not mean to lead you like that, I did not get a leap for that price :( wish I did though.
But why not break the bank and buy yourself that leap for 300-400? It will last you years, and IMO it will be worth it.
